Bought it on sale for $6, not worth what it is now ($12). It handles really nice and is NOT hard to take off or land like how some other people said. And the interior is pretty bad. Worth $6 not $12.. Its a good addon but can be improved alot and could have had alot more added it is hard to stop and but very easy to start and fly and have fun i rate this 7\/10. Its better than the default aircraft but is certanly not PMDG,quality wings or Carendo quality.It has a nice amount of features like vapour flashes but not things like windshield wipers,weapons and ground services.The F-5E is a nice military aircraft and this add-on has several liveries and weapon variants.Ive never flown one in real life so i cant judge on realistic the handling is,i have only flew Piper PA28 warriors (G-BUIF)(G-BRJV).. The F-5E is a wonderful plane to fly, it has some great details and abilites, but it does have some underlying defects. While this isn't the most intricate and detailed plain Virtavia has released, the model quality is quite good. There are no insignias except for the Aggressor model, but the weathering, gun burns, and minor details look great. The afterburner effects are some of the nicest I've seen. Mild throttle gives you a beautiful, twinkling glow, and the afterburners aren't way too large in size. The cockpit has a very good model as well. The usability is very poor, unfortunately. Not too many things to interact with in the virtual cockpit. Most of the features are in the shift(button) windows, which are all customized to the airplane, or in cockpit mode. The usability of the 2d cockpit and windows is pretty good. Now, extra tips and comments. You can enable the gunsight through the 2d cockpit. DO NOT ENABLE DISPLAY SMOKE. IT IS AN INSTANT KILL FOR YOUR COMPUTER. This airplane has cruise flaps, and flies very fast. In a straight attitude, flying under 300 knots will give you a warning sound. All together, this is a plane that's a good deal of fun.. This is a great aircraft to pratice your skills with before you use bigger faster jet-fighters(F-16). The Northrop T-38 Talon trainer aircraft, which were directly based on the F-5's, is the aircraft the United States Air Force train there pilots with. It doesn't come with much toggle switches but it is fun to fly and personally it is one of my favorites.
